Hey peeps-
Sorry for the delay of blog posts. I had a little too much fun on Saturday. However, I am pretty sure no one missed them because no one besides myself reads this thing.
This post is going to be about one of my biggest pet peeves: the over usage of the term "rocks." As in, "man, that brunch rocks","I know...the eggs benedict rocked my face off," and so on and so forth. I started to think about this when I saw an ad on CBS for a show called "Fashion Rocks." The show is going to feature some hip hop acts, a couple of pop stars, and some country artists. NONE of whom ROCK.
What has become of this trend? It has even spawned other equally notable/awful terms. One that comes to mind is "rockstar" (i.e. "Man, she was a rockstar on that test today") I think that it is time that we, as Americans, take back some of our over used terms and keep them to ourselves. Only to let those words be exclaimed when something is truly awesome.
Thanks for reading this blog and you rock!
